It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our Club President and Founder , Steve Phillips, who passed away peacefully in the early hours of 3rd March after a courageous battle with cancer.

Steve is survived by his wife Kathy, and children Ruth, Owen and Rhys.

Our thoughts and love are with them at this incredibly difficult time.

We would also like to thank St Catherine’s Hospice for the incredible care and support they gave Steve in his final days.

Steve was the heartbeat of our club. Grassroots football was his life, and he built The Meads into the family it is today. His passion, commitment and kindness touched everyone who knew him.

The Meads has a hole that can never be filled. He will be so deeply missed.
